Mona Methodology

We create uplifting environments by working with nature.

At Mona Life, we combine science and design to create luxurious living spaces that make people feel amazing. Our unique methodology combines landscape design, horticultural knowledge, ecological wisdom, a love of animals, and the science of Environmental Psychology.

Our Approach

Mona Life has developed a unique, nature-inspired design approach to creating what we call Regenerative Ecosystems. These places are highly individualized. We don’t believe in “one-size-fits-all” design solutions. To optimize the well-being of all inhabitants, we must take all of their individual personality types, cultural backgrounds, spiritual beliefs, mental health challenges, and life goals into account.

Regenerative Ecosystems can be gardens, landscapes, resorts, spas, restaurants, homes, offices, or any other environments that are purposefully made to function more like natural habitats that make people feel inspired, comfortable, calm, confident, welcome, significant, safe, supported, fulfilled, and more at ease in this crazy place we call the modern world.

When we design Regenerative Ecosystems, we always design for all of the senses. We also layout spaces based on the instinctual relationships that us human animals have with our environments. In doing this, we’re able to create places that not only look good, but also help people feel amazing.

In a Mona Life Regenerative Ecosystem, you become a part of your environment and it becomes a part of you. In doing so, you contribute to the ecosystem in a way that feels effortless or pleasurable. For example, in a MoNA Life landscape, you might hand water the plants, add food scraps to the soil, or plant seeds where ecological gaps occur. In return, the ecosystem provides innumerable mental and physical health benefits to you as well as other members of the ecosystem, including non-humans.
